Our Foundation

Wells4Girls is an organization that provides resources and access for women in STEM fields by providing scholarships, financial assistance to attend scientific and leadership conferences, and providing a network of professionals to explore STEM fields.

 

The Target audience is girls and women from ages 8-22. The main target would be for young women ages 17-25 entering Undergraduate College degree programs.  Other favorable considerations will be made for 

​

• 1st/2nd Generation Students

• Students of African or Mexican Descent

• Purposeful Goal Statement

 

The Scholarship will last for up to 5 years. Selected women must demonstrate a sufficient level of financial need and maintain a 2.5 GPA or equivalent through academic tenure.

 

 

• Each candidate would need to complete a Goal Statement that includes:

• Where do you see yourself in 5 years, and what things do you plan to do to get there?

• How do you plan to give back to the world?

• Experiences that you want to have over the next 5 years

• Why you are looking for a career in a STEM field

Scholarship Award Break-Down

 

The initial recipient receives $2,000 initially (regardless of year in school), for the remainder of years for up to 5 years, each recipient will receive 100 per month during the academic term (not summers), $500 per for books.  More details to follow upon receiving award.
